About 2006 Conference
Over 400 participants from 145 institutions of 26 different countries attended the APAIE Conference & Exhibition in Korea. The educators gathered to address the international education issues in the Asia Pacific region with the main theme, "Trends and Changes in Asia Pacific Higher Education." The workshop, "Keep up on China" produced insightful discussion on Chinese higher education and development, the progress Chinese universities in internalization, and U.S. - China Educational Partnership. There were thirty-two exhibition booths with university representatives. A Farewell Dinner & Party concluded the first annual APAIE Conference & Exhibition. The participants left Seoul secure in their thoughts that their cultural experiences and exchanges were going to be more closely addressed in the future.
