The Conference Planning Committee of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) calls for proposals for presentations and sessions to be given at the APAIE Conference 2008.

APAIE Conference 2008 aims to share more emerging trends in international education and exchange as well as offer many networking opportunities. The 2008 conference will be held in Japan from 26 - 28 March, 2008 and is hosted by Waseda University. The theme of the conference 2008 is "The Next Wave in Asia-Pacific Higher Education."

The conference sessions on 26 - 28 March will feature the latest emerging trends in international education and exchange. Sessions are 90 minutes and may include presentations of conceptual models, professional applications or scholarly analyses, panel discussions etc. The topics suggested are, but may not be limited to, the following:

Please submit the following information in the proposal for presentation/session:
1) Title of the proposed presentation/session.
2) Details of presenter(s): include name, current position, institution, email address, phone and fax numbers.
3) Abstract of up to 150 words that provides a brief description of what will be covered in the proposed presentation/session. This will be printed in the conference program book.
4) Presentation/Session Description that provides the plan for the presentation. This will convey to the Conference Planning Committee information about the quality and organization of the proposed presentation/session and whether it will support the conference theme and topic.

Submission Deadline: July 20, 2007
